We all remember these rules when we see a mogwai/gremlin. No bright light, as it can kill it. Don't get it wet, as it will multiply. Don't feed it after midnight, as it will turn into a gremlin and cause chaos. That era of 1980s cinema imprinted fantastic adventures on our retinas that made us imagine and enjoy ourselves for many years, and still does. Now, LEGO Ideas will bring us the world of Gremlins in set format. Great! What do you think?
The contents are 10 bags and the construction manual. There are no stickers :).
We've started construction... as you can see, it begins with a building block literally filled with brackets; there's not much else to say. The good stuff comes now :).
This part goes on top of the previous one. Notice how it attaches to the Technic brick. This gives it a certain degree of movement so that the arms won't stick out vertically from the shoulder. This trick is really cool!
Then it is simply a matter of overlapping the pieces so that when it is time to attach the arms, everything fits together perfectly.
The solpamiento are nothing more than plates covered with curved slopes. The truth is that it ends up looking like a light bulb, which makes it look very good..
We will continue to increase Mogwai's diameter using curved plates and slopes. More curvature in the belly, less in the back... and that little hole is for what many of you already know... a little water! I really like the shape, to be honest.
From here, we have to decide whether we want Gizmo standing or sitting. I choose the former. His feet are adorable, you can't deny it! Well, yes, a little bit...

This is where the part that interests me most comes in. It's definitely a game of pieces with a surprising ending, even though we know it in advance. The lower central part and the upper part fit together in a way that makes it possible to tilt the features. Then we'll rest the upper part on those green hinges and voilà!.

As you can see, the ears don't really have much more than what you see here. But they are certainly very effective.
Overall, it is a fairly complete set with good techniques, good detailing and a final result that induces nostalgia for the invasion of the Gremlins.
