Set Review ➟ LEGO® 75392 - Creative play droid builder

No doubt this is a totally atypical Star Wars set as it is about.... customize your droids!? A set with 1186 pieces, a cost of 99,99€ and a minifigure of Leia in her girl version and her droid companion. As you know this character we could see in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. The contents of the set are 12 bags and 4 manuals, one for each droid. If we look at the 4 droids, they all look familiar, don't they? Yes, indeed they are all droids well known by Star Wars fans.

As I imagined the progression begins with a block covered with brackets and some interesting technic mechanism with which it is possible to fix a central axis, so we finish the central leg so characteristic of this type of droid. Perhaps what I like the most is the good fit of the 6x6 round plate with respect to the rounded sides. It is simply unbeatable.

Well, now the side legs are built. In the picture you can see the three parts that make up each leg of the droid. The head as you can imagine is simple, with some 2x2 bricks around the perimeter and a few more pieces is already done.

I thought little Princess Leia would make an appearance at the end of the set but no... here she is with her droid Lola (LO-LA59).

Now it's time to build some of the accessories that will customize the droid. This time it will be the classic side thrusters, a float and also what I think are some headphones. The truth is that taking this for reference the possibilities are extraordinarily endless. The limit is your imagination. Of course it is not only these two objects that can be put on this droid.

Without a doubt this is the worst part not of this set, but of any set on the market. We refer to the step by step repetition of the first droid. Fortunately, at least the head is different and gives a slight respite. It does take a top hat, bow tie and glasses to give it an intellectual touch, doesn't it.

It is the turn of the pink droid. The only thing that changes is the front, the rest is all the same as the previous droids. Again, the head is also different... Thank goodness! We must recognize that the creativity in this set is paramount, otherwise it would be a boring set. The original details are very successful and certainly make the droid something enjoyable and fun!

This last droid -Chooper- is somewhat different from the previous ones, shorter legs, and the central one, as is characteristic of him, is on a wheel.

Well, the set is finished. The truth is that the moustache is very simple but it looks great! And what do you think about the hat and the cap, they are fantastic!

The set as a whole is a very good set. We have already seen that the first three droids are very similar except for the accessories and the construction of the head, but as seen on the box and to avoid a little tedium and loneliness, it is highly recommended to do it in family or ultimately accompanied, hence each droid has its own construction manual. This is a great success and facilitates the fun in company. For a Star Wars set it is strange to have made it customizable, but thinking about it a little later ... it is striking, funny and certainly creative and therein lies perhaps the grace of it. The exploded view is very good, with very diverse colors and pieces which makes the possibility of letting your imagination fly is huge. Undoubtedly a nice set with which to spend very good times. We thank LEGO for sending the set for this review. LEGO does not endorse or support in any way the opinions expressed in this review, as they are ours alone.
