Set Review ➟ LEGO® 76270 - Batman Mech Armour
I'm not at all a fan of this kind of sets, whatever license they come from. I find that making ‘highlights’ of everything is too much for me. That said, I'm also a big fan of building sets to see if I can learn something new, a new way of looking at some bricks, and my friends, I'm always up for that, no matter what kind of mushroom it is! Let's get on with it. This set costs 14,99€, 1 Batman minifigure, 140 pieces and will be available from June 1st.
Only 3 unnumbered bags, a small manual and the cape of our most earthly hero is what we find when we open the set.
Here we have Mr. Wayne in all his guise...
Well, the parts are basically made up from the trunk. The truth is that the mobility is good except for the legs, as it has used a rigid reference. Although aesthetically it's nice, not having movable knees takes away some of the possibilities. Nevertheless, it is playable and that is what matters.
Next the arms. They hide a technique with the corner plates on the reference 79846(BL) Plate, Modified 2 x 6 x 2/3 Bent that I find interesting. On the other hand I see the hands totally disproportionate :O.
We will mount the mecha's rear thruster and then the wings and the big batarang.
We are now ready to fight evil! As I said at the beginning of this post, I'm not a friend of these mechas but to be honest there are always some interesting connections between pieces. It's a very playable set, I insist in the end that's what it's all about, to play it and enjoy it like a kid with your kids :). We thank LEGO for sending this set for review in this article although LEGO will never endorse or support in any way the opinions expressed in this article.
