Set Review ➟ LEGO® 75380 - Mos Spa podrace

When I saw this set the only thing I missed was a minifigure or two, but otherwise I thought it was really cute. A very nice and of course recognisable display diorama. An 18+ set, with 718 pieces and a cost of 79,99€ on the LEGO.com website.

The contents are six bags plus one of silver accessories (6266977), the manual, 2 dark tan plates 16x16 and some stickers that unfortunately have arrived a bit damaged but usable. I'll have to put them on this time.

The beginning of the set is as these small dioramas usually are, you start with the base. Remember, concentrate on the moment. Feel. Don't think. Use your instincts. What a great moment in Episode I!

In the following we focus on two aspects. The first part of the rocky wall in the background and the relief of the ground. The ground details are very well balanced. The bases where the two racing pods will be placed are also already in place.

Here you can see the composition of the wall in its parts and the placement.

And now comes the big moment of building Anakin's pod. I'm breathless. With so few parts what they have achieved is magnificent. Even the metal helmet that Skywalker wore. In addition, the implementation of the pod can also move with respect to the thrusters, which allows you to modify the posture to a certain extent, giving it a more realistic flavour and in accordance with the scenes.

If I liked the future jedi / sith pod with this Sebulba's one I'm hallucinating. It's perfect. The characterization of this character is also great, hahahaha!

And finally, of course, we will make the base of the arch and the arch that will be connected to the back wall of the diorama. In addition, some more rocks are also placed on the floor at the front of the diorama.

Another Star Wars diorama, this time recreating the famous Mos Espa pod races in a very small scale, but very well done. Just over 718 pieces that are pure joy. We hope that this kind of diorama-sets will continue to be made because of course, there is plenty of material to keep on doing it! If we can say something less positive, it's that it would have been great to put an exclusive minifigure of a pod racer other than Anakin or Sebulba. We are grateful to LEGO for providing this article for review, although LEGO neither endorses nor supports the opinions expressed in it.
