Set Review ➟ LEGO® 75352 - Emperor's throne room

Let's go with another Star Wars diorama set. This time it's the turn of the much-desired Emperor's throne room, set 75352 - Emperor's throne room. A set with the 3 obvious figures, 807 pieces and a cost on the LEGO website of 99.99€. When I first saw the set I was of course attracted by the throne, but also by the recreation of the space and the new impression of the dish in the window where Luke saw the emperor's trap in all its splendour.

The content looks like this. There don't seem to be any stickers again ;).

We start by building the Jedi. The figure itself, what's special about it is the hair. That eighties hair that Luke wore and that confident expression of the one who knows the end of the script.

The base has a bit more substance than other bases in other sets of this type and licence. There are a couple of interesting things. I'm referring to the 2x2 round bricks in black and the technic tubes that I infer will be used for the window.

Next we will build Lord Vader with an expression on his face of very few friends but with an insecure air. Doubt was inserted into his heart, you know....

In this part there are some parts that are very interesting. The back support of the back wall with a 1x1 tile round and a 1x1 bracket. This structure gives it a very good firmness and it is clever. Another part that catches my attention is how they have worked the decking and steps to give a glimpse of the interior.

In this section the outer wall is finished and the hoses for the later assembly of the dish and the windows are placed. The circles are really nice but they are not centred inside each other. I wonder why. We will find out soon.

The next steps focus on tackling the front arch and the back of the windows, but not before building the emperor minifigure. This last part of the diorama is a real eye-catcher. It certainly looks very elegant and of course the resemblance to the window of the iconic throne is tremendous - and we haven't even put the central glass in yet!

The throne is beautiful, they have managed to make a construction on it totally similar to the emperor's throne. It's really something to behold. Plus you can seat the dark sith with the cape perfectly because as we all know and have experienced on occasion, seating a minifigure wearing a cape is always a problem.

It remains now to outline those kind of front monitors, I never knew what they represented exactly but.... I like them a lot? :D Placing the window is very easy, as it's just held in place as it's not clipped in any way. It doesn't move at all, but it makes it possible not to put it in the right way and show the printed drawing crooked. Here Luke defending himself against his father.

Without a doubt, the final ensemble is delicious.

The bottom line is that this is a must have set because if you are a Star Wars fan.... you must have it! It represents the fall of the empire, the alignment of Vader with his offspring and the revenge that many of us wanted for the dark sith having tricked Anakin with bad arts and having achieved the balance in the force. On the other hand the techniques in the set as for example those that have been used to make the arch with bricks, to cover it for its front part, how they have worked the base in such a good way that the interior is glimpsed, how they have worked the window as a whole with the train windows, the big dish? the minifigures... everything. I insist, I find the result de-li-cious. We are grateful to LEGO for making the set available for review in this medium, although LEGO does not endorse or support our opinions in any way possible.
