Aside from presenting some fantastic models with interesting building techniques, most notable in these new cars is that two of them use a new chassis 12 by 5 point something chassis element.

The hollow studs inside the base of the chassis element are offset by a half stud compared to the studs on both ends. The fact that they are hollow means that you can still place a 6 stud plate from side to side, but also fit a 5 stud plate centred. In the design of the models both placements are used in combination with jumper plates to allow for more narrow offset alignments.

The bottom of the new chassis element is smooth and thin, allowing for very low ground clearance.
