Set Review ➟ LEGO® 71800-Nya's Water Dragon EVO

We continue with the fourth installment of some of the new Ninjago 2023 sets. This time the 71800 set, Nya's dragon. A set with 173 pieces, a cost of 19.99€ and 3 minifigures, Nya, Lloyd and a bone guard.

It is the smallest set of these reviews that we are presenting these days, but it is sure to be just as much fun and even more so on these special dates. It contains 3 numbered bags and the little bag with the "bones" as well as the construction manual, well, no stickers! We have already found some new references, as well as new colours in some of the existing pieces in the catalogue.

We mount Nya and set about building the first part of the dragon, which will consist of the head and the back.

It's no mystery, an "L" shaped trunk with coated brackets on the upper part, which although a little bit terse is certainly quite well defined. The colours remind me of the 10298 Vespa 125 set, a perfect combination no doubt.

In the following steps we find again the same references as in the sets reviewed in the previous entries, but in light blue.

We build the legs on plates with ball and socket joints and some more pieces like some curved tiles and we have Nya's dragon almost ready for combat!

In the last bag we find again some new references that you have already seen before as well as a printed tile for the flag, and of course the two remaining minifigures to complete the set. The bone guard minifigure is a bit difficult to stand up because of the extra weight on his back. I hope that being a 6+ the kids won't find it too difficult to get it.

And here we finally have the final scene once the remaining parts are in place, which are Nya's seat and the flag, the dragon's shoulder pads, the deadly spike on his tail and those fearsome spurs!

We thank LEGO for sending this set for review in this article. The opinions expressed in this article are ours alone, and LEGO does not endorse or support them in any way.
