Set Review ➟ LEGO® 71782 Cole's Earth Dragon EVO

And let's go with the second review of this new batch of Ninjago sets that will be released at the beginning of the year that we are about to release. This one has 285 pieces and an estimated price of 34'99€. It appears to be a bull dragon whose facial appearance reminds me somewhat of the Balrog from Lord of the Rings. Don't ask me why.

As you can see there are 2 minifigures and some new references as part of the horns, also new colours. It is a more than established dynamic in the production of new sets whatever the line, we are almost always flooded with new references. The contents are divided into 4 numbered bags, another one with the parts of the bone objects and this time... the blessed little sheet with stickers, thank goodness there are only 4 of them.

We start building Cole's minifigure, the shoulder pad that holds the sword, what do you think? :)

In this first section the torso of the Dragon is built. It is configured in a simple bracket-based way.

In the second bag we continue configuring the back of the dragon's back and I'm surprised that we finish building the minifigure and that it doesn't appear at the beginning of the instructions as usual. What do you think of the new references that appear here? We finish the bag by building the legs and claws. They are very simple steps that give a lot of mobility and resistance to play with the dragon. I like the way it looks with these few pieces. The head by using the new references has the ability to apply some expression to the dragon's face, not only to open and close the mouth as you can delay or advance the mouth to do so. Good point.

We come to the next building block and the first thing we have to do is to deconstruct the dragon as we are going to enlarge the trunk and finish the tail. The configuration is as shown in the picture. Now it will be much more stylised, it won't look like.... a hedgehog! :D

And finally the scorpion transport of the Bone warrior.

With the last pieces the wings, horns, flag and Cole's weapon are detailed. This is how our set looks, ready for the great mortal combat!

A playable and interesting set because of the easy steps and the way it can be disassembled. Any child new to LEGO will find no difficulty at all and will be able to play with the dragon without it coming apart. About the minifigures, for someone who is not familiar with LEGO constructions and especially with this line, he will understand that there is a good and a bad... like everything in life, there is no yin without a yan. We thank LEGO for sending this set for review in this article. The opinions expressed in this article are ours alone and LEGO does not endorse or support them in any way.
