Set Review ➟ LEGO® 40484 Christmas GWP

This time we return to review a small Christmas set that can be purchased as GWP, its number is 40484. As you can see in the image of the box, the set is a small display of a Christmas print of an elf feeding a reindeer. We know that the poor animals work very hard and have to be well cared for and nourished :).

The contents are numbered bags from 1 to 2, the latter number being divided into 3 bags. In addition there are 3 loose plates, the construction book as well as a sheet with 5 stickers.

With bag number 1 we will assemble the base of the small diorama. There is nothing remarkable or complex in these steps, just appreciate how well they "smell" of cold winter. With only a few pieces the impression of winter ground has been very well achieved. If we had to say something less showy is that the pines in the background do not have any snow on them, we understand that it is because of the blackness and remoteness at night.

With the bags numbered 2 we will make the backdrop for the scene as well as the foreground details. Seeing how the backdrop looks with a clear moon, twinkling stars, it feels like a freezing night, is that why our dear elf has that expression on one of his faces? Regarding the stickers, we know how much space it costs to screen print LEGO pieces, but really these dark blue starry pieces would have been a good idea to make them without stickers.

The pines in the foreground use a simple technique but achieve their goal very well. Together with our beloved reindeer, they undoubtedly provide the technical note of the small set.

Finally we have to build our beloved and hard-working reindeer. It's good that he can be built and that Lego has not used the Bricklink reference :51493c01pb01. This way we expose the creativity and both children and adults will enjoy building more.

This will certainly be a nice gift set for a purchase that AFOLS lovers of the winter line will want to have. Of course it will also be a great gift for the upcoming holidays for any child or not so child.

We would like to thank Lego for providing this GWP for review. The opinions expressed in this article are ours alone, therefore Lego neither endorses nor supports them in any way.
