We have before us a new GWP. Coinciding with the release of the new 10284 FC Barcelona Camp Nou set, LEGO? is giving away this small set that recreates the Font de Canaletas, a sacred place for FC Barcelona fans where they gather to celebrate the team's successes.
The set consists of 178 pieces and comes with 5 minifigs with all the typical FC Barcelona fan apparel and accessories such as flags and scarves.
MINIFIGURES
As we have said, there are 5 minifigs, 2 female and 3 male ones. All 5 come with the torsos with the blaugrana shirt, with the detail of the senyera on the neck and the shield. The only downside I see is that the shield is not detailed, I guess because of the size?
Two of the minifigs have double faces, one of them representing joy and euphoria while the other represents sadness, a face that many culés have been wearing lately. All of them come with hair except for two of them, who wear caps, one blue and the other maroon. Accompanying the figures, we have a wheelchair, a team scarf, a large flag with the Barça shield, another with the senyera and a third flag with the words Barça. We don't have any screen-printed pieces, they are all stickers.
CONSTRUCTION
The fountain is recreated on a 14x18 base. The floor tiles have been recreated with plates and 1x3 tiles, although they bear little resemblance to the tiles of the real fountain. Around the base, tiles have been placed in the typical blaugrana colours, clearly relating the fountain to FCB.
The fountain (for drinking) has a circular base on which stands a cup-shaped structure with 4 taps, recreated with round tiles in the colour Golden, fully matching the real colours of the taps. The water is poured into circular basins, for which printed tiles 2x2 with Hole Round have been used, simulating grids. These are the only pieces that do not use stickers.
Atop this cup-shaped structure rises a column topped by four lanterns.
The design of the final part with the lanterns is quite simple, without much detail, but you can't ask much for a set that comes as a gift.
CONCLUSION
This is an ideal companion set for the Camp Nou football stadium. The fact that it comes with 5 minifigures, in the exclusive FCB colours, already makes it a very attractive set. Moreover, if you remove the football element, you can have an emblematic element located in one of the busiest areas of the city of Barcelona as are the Ramblas.
