Set Review ➟ 40469 Tuk Tuk

Number two in the public transportation series of LEGO Creator is something you may not see every day in your town or city, but is far more widespread than I thought. Creator 40469 depicts a Tuk Tuk, a 3-wheeled, motorised rickshaw.

The set is quite colourful and boasts a few simple though nice building techniques and parts uses.

The set is surprisingly (?) simple and is based on a small 3-wheeled platform. The front of the platform is elevated a little to make space for the wheel bracket.

Although this is not the way the set is actually built, you then add three different groups to that base: the rear seat, the driver’s seat and the steering assembly on top of which the windscreen will be built.

Put everything on the base and you can see things are taking shape.

Add the windscreen and some wedge plates to the sides and we’re almost there.

The roof manages to add even more colour to the set with the use of red and orange 1 x 1 round plates and some golden tassels. The finishing touch is what I suspect to be some cargo on the roof.

Ready to integrate something new into your City layout?
