Set Review ➟ 75297 Resistance X-Wing®
The 75297 Resistance X-Wing set is a small set for beginners, 4 years and up. It contains 60 parts and 2 minifigures. It is scheduled to be available by March 1st, 2021.
The set includes all the parts needed to build the Resistance X-Wing fighter shown in the new Star Wars Trilogy. BB-8 and Poe Dameron are the two minifigs included in this set.
This is a very simple and easy set to build. As its target is very young childs, there are no small parts, or parts that can be considered dangerous. This the main reason for the lack of details. The instructions are very easy to follow, so there is no need to have previous experience with LEGO to understand all the steps.
The ship is very simple but contains some playable features. The wings can be displayed in combat position, and the cockpit can be opened to place the Poe Dameron minifig. There is also a place to put the BB-8 minifig. The ship itself is very sturdy, so can withstand serious playwear.
This set doesn’t contain stickers, all decorative elements are printed on the pieces. A very important thing, to avoid frustration in younger kids when stickers are misplaced.
An interesting piece is the Poe Dameron helmet, which includes a yellow transparent visor, so that the head doesn’t need a visor printed.
