Set Review ➟ 60078 Utility Shuttle
In the summer wave of CITY sets there is a new appearance of the Space Port sub-theme. Like other years that this sub-theme has been in the catalog, the star set is the space shuttle. This year is specially beautiful as it reproduces de NASA Space Shuttle very well. But there are other smaller sets complementing this one which are sometimes as good as the main one. And this is the case of the set I am going to review today.
It is a small shuttle which is supposed to be in the space, because it has no wheels to land. It comes with 2 astronauts, one male and one female. Their purpose in the space is to launch a small satellite to the space.
The astronauts are the same that come with the set 60080 and the decoration of the torso is really good. Both minifigures are identical except for the head part.
Although the size of this spacecraft is small, it is possible to fit both astronauts and the satellite. The building construction is not difficult (it only has 155 parts), and takes no more than 10 minutes for a skilled builder. But it doesn't mean that it isn't an interesting set. The nose of the shuttle is new from this year and it has a black print to reproduce the original black nose of the NASA shuttle. Compared to the prior version of this set (3367), the windscreen is now divided into separate small parts, and looks also closer to the real one.
There are no special building techniques and almost all parts are common. There is a small stickers sheet with the different logos of the LEGO Space Agency and the solar panels of the satellite. Compared to its big brother it's a cute / tiny spaceship and it worths for the regular price of around 20€.
Thanks to CEE Team for proviing the set.
