Set Review ➟ 21019 The Eiffel Tower

In this review we will dissect one of the Architecture sets in 2014, this is a set that, unlike other Architecture sets, there was no rumor about it. It is the 21019, The Eiffel Tower… One set that is perfectly logical that sooner or later appeared, since it is one of the most recognizable icons in the world, along with the Big Ben, the Sydney Opera House, or the Empire State, icons that already have a reproduction in the Architecture series.

As it could not be otherwise, the box is like the rest of the series, black, with the construction on the cover. Four bags of parts and the classic instruction book with curious facts about the tower are included inside.

Once opened the bags and taken a look at the pieces, one already knows that with the construction of this set is going to enjoy it. The assembly, of course starts with the base of the set, where the only noteworthy thing is the use of turntables 2x2 for the future positioning of the lower legs of the tower.

The second part focuses on the assembly of the intermediate section of the tower, including its legs. Curiously the assembly of this part is from the middle and expanding upwards and downwards, that is, the first floor of the tower is installed first, then the second floor, where before it assembly to the first floor the legs are added, which are subsequently secured to the first floor. Then the legs of the tower are built, and the entire assembly is attached to the already mounted base, and the arcs added.

Finally is the construction of the last section of the tower, the top. Its construction is simple but fun, and joins the middle section with four 2x2 tiles modified with stud.

To complete the review say that it is a very fun set to build perhaps the best of the Architecture series because the techniques used, since it is simply not adding parts in layers. It is also a set that incorporates the new 1x2 modified plate with stud with groove and inside stud holder, a new piece that will start to appear in 2014, definitely every follower of the Architecture series should have it.

Set: 21019 The Eiffel Tower
Parts: 321 more or less
Construction: 7 (easy but really fun)
Parts: 7 (plate 1x2 modified mentioned before and a lot of plate 1x2 modified with handle on end)
Final Mark: 9 (because its construction)

Thanks to the LEGO CEE Team for the set.
