And the surprise is… (MWC -2)
A little later than hoped for, but this is the second part of the collaboration between LEGO, Ericsson and Hispabrick Magazine. A robot (or rather 12 robots) to play a game of soccer.
On Tuesday February 28, the “Social Event” took place in the Ericsson stand at the MWC, where guests and employees of Ericcsson enjoyed a private party with many fun activities. Among those we were asked to design a robot that could be controlled by a mobile phone to play a game of soccer.
After nearly 2 weeks of continuous changes in the design, the final design was ready and replicated to have enpugh robots for a 5 against 5 match (plus one spare for each team). The robots were controlled with MINDdroid running on the new SONY Xperia S.
The robots were used for 4 hours without a break and the result was very positive. Lots of fun, laughs and the occasional goal (quite a difficult thing…).
